add-signature-to-website

Signatures after your blogposts seem to be pretty normal. But do you know how to create them?

First of all, of course, you need the signature. You can create it yourself or you can ask a graphic designer to create it for you.

How do I create a signature?

With apps: I’m a big fan of Canva, but you can use any other graphic design software. Then of course with the graphics software Photoshop or Illustrator.

You can find different handwriting types on Google Fonts, DaFont or Adobe. Every now and then you can find good free fonts on Creative Market.

By hand – just like in the good old days. Then scan the desired signature and save it as a .png or .jpg file. WordPress unfortunately does not allow the .svg format – but it is possible to upload via detours.

Or with the help of a graphic artist.

How can I add a signature manually?

  • Create your signature and save it as an image file (.jpg or. Png) with a size of 320 x 100 px.
  • Log in to WordPress.
  • Add the image to your media overview in WordPress.
  • From now on you can add your signature to any blog post or page.
  • If the signature appears too big or too small, you can adjust it in WordPress under „Image dimensions“.

How do I add a signature using plugins?

Ultimately, the procedure is more or less the same for each plugin.

Create your signature image in .jpg or png and upload it to your media overview in WordPress.
Install your desired plugin and go to the settings.

In your dashboard you will find the user account management under „Users – Your Profile“.

Here you can add your signature from the mediathek.

That’s it!
